We stay here every year- all in all it’s a nice quiet premier inn and I will be back again... however I do think the rooms would benefit from a deep clean- sills etc were dirty and the first night when we got back the cleaner hadn’t even been in the room- towels were hit n miss- for a twin room one night we had two large, another one large and one hand towel- it was obvious there were two of us- is it that hard??

The reception staff are lovely though -as ever!!

Breakfast wasn’t it’s usual either- hardly any fruit one day and the water jug needed topping up a couple of days- I had to ask!!

The evening meals were up to usual tho- nice, but avoid weekends if you don’t like children!!! I’ve been coming here every year for oh about ten years and most of the staff had changed- I often wonder about this!!??

All in all I was a little disappointed this year because it’s usually my favourite work stay of the year and it just fell short on a few things- I hate grumbling about it too!!! Hopefully it will be back to usual next year!!??
;)

Great stay, room very clean, 15 minute walk to the city/town, park nearby which is great. One of kids beds uncomfortable, had to get duvet from reception to make it more pleasant to sleep on, very hand to walk to beefeater for breakfast, overall a great stay.

I stay in this hotel fairly often for business and hotel staff are very friendly and rooms spacious with comfy bed. However, a few times my room was cleaned but the only thing the cleaner had done was make the bed. No refill on tea/coffee, bins not emptied, bathroom not cleaned. Breakfast was fine in the restaurant next door but on arrival you have to wait a really long time for somebody to come over and take your room number. Next to a train line so depending on the location on your room it’s a pain when it’s warm and you want your window open. Mainly all small issues and fine for a few nights stay but I’ve probably only noticed these as have stayed for a significant time.
