“A gem of a place”
Reviewed 29 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Stayed in Captain's View on the second floor. Fabulous apartment with all mod cons including dishwasher and washing machine. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very cozy . Spent more time in the apartment than we would usually on a break because it was so nice with fabulous views over the south bay. We will be back.

“You don't need your car here.”

Our ground floor, compact (small) apartment was clean and fresh, and had been recently renovated to a high standard - with an eye to design features (e.g. copper cookware, lamps, and wine glasses.) Quaint china. All modern facilities - includes big fridge, and washing machine. Wonderfully comfortable lounge chairs. Good bed. Just a couple of minutes walk to the esplanade with restaurants and pubs. 5 minutes walk to the main shopping area of town. Good corner store virtually next door, selling well priced alcohol, and staple foods and supplies. Quiet pubs on corner of street and just around corner. Walking distance to train. The Castle and Emily Bronte's grave are a short walk up a steep hill. You don't need a car here unless you want to go further afield and explore the countryside. If you do have a car, the owners jockey car spaces to preserve a parking spot. We were there bank holiday, and decided it would be better not to use our car (as we would have been unlikely to get the park again!) No views on the ground floor. Owners are dog lovers, and pets are evidently welcome. We could hear the dog from the apartment above.

Liked best: Comfortable lounge chairs. Convenience to corner store, pubs and restaurants, castle and tourist attractions.

“Average apartment in central location”

Stayed here at short notice due to unforeseen issue with our chosen property. It was OK but felt grubby due to dog hairs on sofa, half dog treat under sofa and generally dirty floors.
Reasonably well equipped but would have been nice if some essentials were included e.g. salt, pepper, etc. Many self-catering owners leave milk, bread, etc and it is appreciated after a long journey.
Wetroom is very small with sloping roof (not shown on website but have added photos), so if you're 6 feet or over you will not be able to stand in front of the sink or toilet without getting a cricked neck. Water also puddles on floor outside of shower area.
You are located a couple of minutes from the harbour, and there is a seaview, albeit across buildings.
Managed to get a parking space outside the apartment but it is busy. However, the owner does provide zone parking vouchers for the duration of your stay.

“Lovely end to the year.”
Reviewed 4 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Three nights in the Captains View Apt and it was better than the photos. The reviews are true! The apartment has everything plus more. Location, views and helpful owners. Looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you!
