We came here for lunch on Saturday April 28th for the spring lunch menu, which consisted of 2 courses with a glass of champagne and wine through the meal for £35, which was an excellent offer.

On arrival, we enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar - the cocktail list is a thing of beauty, so many different combinations!

We then went through to the restaurant area to feast upon our chosen food - I had the Goats cheese cannelloni with beetroot, followed by the Pollock, cauliflower, curry and coconut which was absolutely delicious. The starter came with so many different types of beetroot, all done in different ways. The main was a sweet curry as opposed to a spicy curry and it was very tasty, the sauce going so well with the fish and cauliflower. We couldn't resist pudding, I had the banoffee with salted caramel and wow, what a pudding... so sweet but balanced so well with the salted caramel.

We took coffee in the bar area, well, I had an espresso martini which was strong and perfect after our meal. This came with some tiny (in a good way) petit fours which was a very nice touch.

The service is a 10/10, special thanks to Vikki who was very friendly and a real asset to the team at The Vineyard. You feel very well looked after and special dining here, the staff couldn't do enough for us.

We are already trying to think of an excuse to come back!

Our visit happened to be when the 'spring lunch offer' was being run. The food was spot on. Salmon tatare for me and a beetroot dish for my wife. Both delicious and spot on with the seasoning. Pollack for Ellie next which was served with elements of cauliflower and a coconut/curry emulsion. For me a duck leg that had been deconstructed and reformed to appear more like the breast. Great sauce but did think a little pomme purée would of been nice. We then had cheese. This is modern cookery with a fine eye for detail and a deft hand when seasoning.
What I failed to say was this deal included a glass of Taittinger to start and then a glass to match our first course and another to match our mains. All this for £39 each! A lovely lunch in sumptuous surroundings and overseen by the every welcoming Pino!

Had not been here for a few years, but remembered it for its lovely food and exquisite presentation. It was extremely quiet and waitresses were very nice and welcoming, a restaurant manager was not to be seen the whole lunch. Starter was not too bad but mains of roast beef was disgusting, lukewarm, extremely fatty and covered in gravy piled high on top of potatoes and veg, I have had far better food in a pub, it looked extremely off putting. Dessert was the best, but nothing special. Wish I had taken photo!
