I first visited Villa Ada a couple of weeks ago when working in Luton. Visited again tonight and made a trip from Dunstable, and again it blew me away. Don't let the area put you off, this is a little oasis in quite a run down part of town. If you're a foody or just appreciate good, home Italian cooking, there is, in my embarrassingly extensive experience, nothing to touch it. If, however your idea of Italian food is pizza, then there aren't any, thank God, so go to Pizza hut or something.
There's a good range of starters on the menu. This time I went for king prawns with parma ham. Well cooked, fresh prawns with a good, not too salty ham got the taste buds going. My colleague had seafood antipasti, which was generous in size, tasty and looked good. Mains were superb. My monkfish was tender, fresh and well priced at £17. You have to add sides, so went for rosemary potatoes and a portion of spinach. Rack of lamb was the best my mate had ever had and, as the designated driver from Dunstable, this stopped his moaning about the long-ish drive which I'd been trying to convince him was worth it.
Service is friendly and personal. Prices are good for the excellent quality. Well worth the visit if you are anywhere in the Luton area. A real find.
