We had a lovely relaxing weekend in a cosy comfortable cottage. Just a two minute walk from the centre of Haye, It could not have been better. Highly recommended.
Ideal location in the Town of Books and don't forget the Pub's and Restaurants. Lovely little Cottage. What we Liked best about the Cottage was So clean, tidy and well equipped.
We took our little dog up onto Hay Bluff, visited lots of Book shops and the odd Pub or two.
We would stay again.
Footnote: Stairs very steep.
I enjoyed a great week staying in this cute cottage which has a great location in the town
centre. There is a car park just down the road and the main road location is not a problem
as it's very quiet at night. Just perfect as a base for exploring the Brecon Beacons whilst also
benefiting from the attractions of Hay on Wye.
Cosy cottage which does exactly what it says on the information above and the excellent details sent by the owner. The garden steps are steep but that is stated in the details. It is a shared garden and I would hope that dog owners would supervise their pets. We found easy parking close by which was free. A lovely country town. This is a cottage which compliments the town. WiFi is not available but if people can't live without it they can use a smart phone. It might be useful to know which mobile networks give signal. I was ok with ee but talk mobile got no signal at all in the town
This cottage is conveniently located (everything within easy walking distance) and is clean comfortable and welcoming with central heating and stove (matches, paper, fire-lighters, wood and coal provided) The bed is comfortable and the property is well equipped with comprehensive notes.
There is a lot of road noise during the day though as it is on the main road through the town and the 30 mph speed limit appears to be universally ignored. Parking is available nearby, but you may have to be out early as restrictions start at 8am.
There is no wifi and mobile coverage was weak.
Dog owners should be aware though that the garden is enclosed but is accessed via a flight of near vertical narrow concrete steps and is shared with he property next door. Thus you can't just send the dog out on their own - you have to climb the steps and supervise. Climbing those steps with a torch last thing at night (there is no outside light) is not for the faint hearted or less mobile (dogs and owners).
