It was a bit difficult to find as it was round the back of Festival Park, rather than on it but once you know where it is, easy peasy lemon squeezy.
One downside is the car park on the weekend. Get in early or you're stuffed as pub patrons use it as an overflow.
The hotel is lovely (have I said a bad word about Premier Inn yet? No? There you go then!). Newer than Chorley South with big shiny tellies with traffic reports in the foyer. Super friendly staff helped sort out a room for a family member who was having trouble booking online.
Conveniently located for Festival Park and all of its facilities without being right in it. It's a short walk to the restaurants and bars etc. It's right next to a lake that does wakeboarding that looked like a hoot, if that's your bag.
Comfy, comfy, comfy.
None of the Premier Inns we stayed in had air conditioning but all of them offered fans. As Britain doesn't often get so hot for so long that air conditioning would be a thing, I think personally that the fan offer is better suited and therefore keeps costs down.More
