“Exceeded my expectations”

My mum and I plus my pet dog Skye have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Devon staying at 7 Cedar Lodge situated on a small park of 11 lodges not far from the market town of Tavistock. The lodge exceeded our expectations, a great place to stay, well equipped, clean, comfortable, peaceful with wonderful views. There is a large balcony with furniture which was lovely to sit out on in the Autumn sunshine. The lodge is dog friendly although you wouldn't have guessed as the lodge is spotlessly clean.
Tavistock, Dartmoor, Lydford Gorge (well worth a visit) are all close by but you will need a car. Looking forward to returning next year.

Just got back from a 4 day stay at this lodge which was just amazing as previousley mentioned it's so clean and comfortable, It's a dog friendly lodge which was what we needed as we took our two dogs. The view from the lodge is Fantastic you can sit outside and just relax with a glass of whatever you fancy and just be mesmerised by it . There was lots of places around to go visit and lots of information about where to go. The weather was good do that made it too would definatly return.

“A little piece of Heaven ”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This is the second time we have stayed at Cedar Lodge this year and we was not disappointed again. This is like a home from home with lovely attention to detail, and everything you would need to enjoy a self catering break in Devon. We brought our dog along as the lodge is dog friendly and she loved it. You would never know dogs were allowed to stay, as the lodge is immaculately clean inside and out. The lodge is situated on a quite country lane with fields as far as you can see, with Tavistock 10 minutes drive away and Dartmoor 20 minutes drive away and so many other places to visit you will not be disappointed. The lodge has lots of information on places to visit near and far so you won't get bored. And after a long day out sightseeing it's great to come back and sit on the decking in the evening with a cold glass of wine watching the sun go down and the stars light up the night sky. You really do hear nothing but the sound of the evening breeze. So if you are looking for a quite little piece of heaven to enjoy your stay in Devon this is the place for you. We are already planning our third trip back.

“A wonderful lodge in a great part of the country”
Reviewed 22 July 2016 for a stay in March 2016

My wife and I have been fortunate enough to stay in some lovely hotels both in the UK and abroad but not one of them is able to match the relaxing experience of staying at 7 Cedar Lodge.
Our visit, in March 2016, was our second. The weather was superb and we were able to spend our days exploring Dartmoor with our dogs.
As a photographer the nearby Brentor Church was an irresistible draw to me.
The lodge was just as well presented as when we visited in November 2015.
It is clear that the owners take great pride in 'The Lodge' and the favourable comments in the guest book show that this is appreciated by visitors.
Thank you for allowing us to stay there.
