We stayed at this very nice small hotel on a Sunday recently. It is a very nicely presented Regency house with excellent staff and service. Our room was very nice. The only slight downside for us was that we were expecting an a la carte dinner in the package which turned out to only be a carvery or pub style meal on a Sunday. Whilst it was a good carvery, nice rare roast beef, the a la carte menu we saw before we sat down was really superb and if it had been available it would without doubt have received a 5 out of 5 from us. We had chosen and booked at this hotel via Voyage Prive specifically because of the a la carte offering they highlighted, and would otherwise have chosen a more convenient location somewhat nearer to our Hereford destination.
It has to be said that our package was very good value, but just not quite as advertised by Voyage Prive.
We would recommend Glewstone Manor strongly, but only on a day other than Sunday unless a good carvery or pub quality meal is all that is required. In fairness, there were other options to the roast beef, but none really appealed on the day having been choosing from the really tempting a la carte menu in our room which had all the AA 2 Rosette features and trimmings one would expect.
