Stayed at the Chase hotel for one night after a party celebration. I couldn't have stayed any longer because the beds were so hard there was no way of sleeping. I had asked for a mattress topper as I suffer with severe arthritis but this made no difference what so ever. The rooms were extremely small and the paper thin walls didn't stop you hearing next door and beyond.
The food was very nice which is why I gave it 2 stars. The staff too at both the party the evening before and serving us our breakfasts were really efficient and attentive a credit to the hotel. The grounds and settings are beautiful so it's such a shame they can't provide a good nights sleep.

This is an excellent hotel with superb friendly , efficient, courteous staff. The room ,though small was very good and the view from it lovely. The food in Harrys Restraunt was superb and a good choice on the menu. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the grounds, preferably on the top floor..

Nice looking hotel, especially for a wedding venue. Nice courtyard at side of hotel, and garden at the back.
We were only attending the evening do, where there was a lovely bar b que, with nice selections of salads and meats.
The drink was expensive, I think paying £1.50 for a Coke poured out of a large plastic bottle is scandalously expensive!?!?!
I did not buy alcohol, so cannot comment on these prices.

Live locally and have eaten here several times (often for Sunday lunch). Really nicely cooked food, good quality ingredients and well presented. Slightly more interesting vegetables, too. Service is very attentive and the dining room is smart. Attracts the older-age group (or people staying there on business during the week). Never had a bad meal there, would recommend.

Room Tip: Reviewing Sunday lunch, so no experience

The sun was shining so instead of taking Sunday lunch in Harry's restaurant we opted to dine on the terrace adjacent to the hotel bar which is fringed with beds of red roses and lavender with the hotel's large tree lined park in the background and wooded hills in the distance. The terrace is furnished with substantial slatted wooden chairs and tables which were spotless and large square umbrellas. The menu for Sunday lunch was diverse and interesting and the quality of the food served was excellent which for our party of four included soup, marinated trout and goat cheese tartlet as starters: roast beef, roast lamb, and hake (a change from the menu at my request) with attractive vegetables as mains: and indulgent profiteroles and pavlova to follow. Service was excellent and despite the distance from the kitchen our dishes arrived fresh and at the right temperature. We were not rushed, indeed they were serving afternoon tea at other tables by the time we left. We were tempted, but we had already eaten very well! It was an excellent leisurely lunch in a beautiful country setting on a perfect English summer day. We have previously eaten inside in Harry's elegant restaurant and also thoroughly enjoyed our meal
