My partner & I often go to this chinese...One of the best chinese take aways in MK!! Chicken curry - lush! Veg spring rolls - tasty & crispy. Prawn crackers included in your meal... what more could you ask for?!

Friendly & welcoming staff. Highly recommend!!
9/10 from us.

Came here with family and must say even tho it's a bit strange to be in an old pub, it makes it fun, all the staff were great, made us feel welcome and the drink were topped up!

Food was excellent. We had one of the set menus and it was presented beautiful and tasted amazing!

Don't let the look of it put you off, give it a try!!

We last went to the Magic Wok 20-odd years ago when the food was ok but there was a dispute with the bill. Given that a business colleague was paying this was an embarrassment and we never went back; until now.

The building inside and out is locked in a 1970s time warp, so we were a bit concerned about our choice of restaurant. Given that the takeaway area (which resembles a pub bar) was busy we realised that the place was popular with locals.

The food was the best Chinese meal we have had in ages. The starters were ok and non-greasy. The crab claws we actually battered prawn balls and yummy. The duck pancakes were generous. The lemon chicken was great and the Mongolian lamb was awesome. We ate far too much!

Service was cheerful and attentive.

The meal was more expensive that other local Chinese establishments, so value for money was marginal. We will be going back however.

Found the Magic Wok when staying in Newport Pagnell for an overnight stay. It's a Chinese takeaway and restaurant situated in a pub.... but don't be put off by the look or decor of the place. The friendly staff and excellent food soon dispelled any concerns we had. Mid price range but felt it was value for money. Would certainly go back if we stayed in the area again.
