We were going to a wedding nearby and most options in the area were full. We booked this in advance for the one night visit. It was basic as there was no breakfast but it was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful and when I mentioned the shower was far too hot with intermittant pressure the next morning, the Manager was very apologetic and she said she would get it looked at. The other room we had also booked didn't have the problem so was a one-off issue.

We booked this hotel because we were looking for a cheap en-suite room in the Manchester area on a Saturday night. The building appears to be a former Travelodge. Unfortunately, due to a new road, and subsequent road closure making the location at the end of a cul-de-sac the neighbouring Little Chef and petrol station are both closed. However, this does also have it's positives as it means more parking for hotel residents and less traffic passing the hotel. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed and a sofa. The floor was laminate with no carpet, which was a bit surprising, but the heating was sufficient enough so that it wasn't cold. The lighting was really good too, with hidden light ropes giving a nice ambient glow if you didn't want the main bright light on. The en-suite had a large shower cubicle, big enough for 2 to share if they wished, with ample hot water. However, there was a lack of handles to assist entering and exiting the shower. I know the next statement is going to seem very petty... I'm not sure whether it was intentional, but there was only one teaspoon in our room, I don't like coffee, so hate it when my tea is stirred with a spoon which has already stirred a cup of coffee, coffee is instant so needs stirring immediately, tea needs to brew a bit, so unless you wash the spoon between stirring the coffee and the tea you can taste the coffee in the tea. We probably could have asked for another spoon but when it was noticed we were both naked, it was first thing in the morning, and we just wanted a cuppa before showering. A trip to reception wasn't really possible. I must also add that the staff were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome.

Thank you, Dawn. You and your staff are running an excellent hotel. From the greeting at reception and Denice's smile, through to the glittering clean and comfortable room with its welcoming warmth, every aspect of my stay far exceeded my expectation of a budget hotel. So much so that I have booked to stay again within just three days. In my past experience, 'budget' hotels are not fitted with taps by Grohe. No doubt that is a sign of the impact of Accor but their standards are much appreciated.

This hotel used to be on the main road leading from Manchester to the M6, it's now off the beaten track due to the residents of Knutsford. So there in lies the problem the hotel is fine and at the price excellent, comfortable, no frills, quiet and does exactly as it says on the tin. The big problem is finding it, with no signs and no street lighting you could be driving around all night!! Come on IBIS do something about the signage soon.

Stayed here for a night as were at a wedding in the centre of Knutsford. The rooms are very big and very clean, the actual hotel itself was great for what we needed however it's quite isolated with nothing around it, the little chef next door has closed and no bar in the hotel.
