We booked a twin room 6 months in advance for one night as we were coming to Newcastle for the Rugby World Cup.
Less than 24 hours before we were due to set off, we were informed by automated text that our booking was cancelled. After contacting the Maiden Motel, it appears the room had been double booked. No recompense was offered.
With no other option, we rebooked at a nearby hotel which was hugely expensive, given the city was nearly booked out by now for the world cup.
Terrible terrible service.
