“Absolutely smashing!”
Reviewed 10 March 2012

This is a lovely hotel with gorgeous views over the river. It's boutique without the pretentions; really friendly, relaxed and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent, with a menu that caters to all tastes without being over the top for choice. Breakfast is terrific. A great advert for holidaying in Cornwall.

One of the best stays I have ever had.
Lovely hotel, great restaurant, Fantastic views.
We stayed in the suite on the top floor, an ideal spot to relax and watch the river flow by- well worth the cost.
The staff were terrific- friendly, helpful, and coped admirably and without fuss with a minor crisis thrown their way.
I will definitelt re-vist, and would reccomend this hotel to the fussiest visitor.

Room Tip: Take the penthouse suite on the top floor- it's worth it.

Lovely hotel & great staff in a beautiful location- hope to return. A better vegetarian choice & it would have been perfect.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good but if you can afford to upgrade go for it!

We arrived on Friday afternoon and were shown to a fabulous room overlooking the estuary (room 12). The manager brought up a plate of freshly made sandwiches which was a nice touch and personally welcomed us. We felt well looked after throughout our stay - the staff were all friendly and accommodating. Dinner in the restaurant on Saturday was very good and the breakfasts both mornings were exemplary.
No hesitation to recommend this bolt hole in Cornwall - it was great in Feb but it must be fantastic in the summer!
If I could make one recommendation it would be to add valet parking to their service - especially if its raining!

We had my wife's 50 th birthday dinner here and there was 16 of us. Hotel staff were very accommodating and we had the penthouse rooms with great views. Pricey but worth it!
