We stayed for one night and due to another guest staying on in the room that we were to use we were upgraded to a room with a view. And what a view! The inn is situated so that the view is down river to the sea.
Contrary to some reports the staff were brilliant and very helpful. Parking was just up the hill but no problem. The food was excellent - we had the mussels which were outstanding.
A very memorable visit.

We have used the Old Ferry Inn before when walking the Hall Walk from Polruan, but only for a beer. On this occasion we had lunch, which was excellent, just a nice omelette and a sandwich, but freshly made, tasty and nicely presented.

The beer selection and quality is also excellent, and the bar manager really friendly and helpful. Service was a tad slow, but on a par with most pubs in Cornwall.

The bar has a real character ambience, and is full of old nick knacks which festoon the walls and every nook and cranny.

The dinner menu also looked really good, and we shall be eating here again on our next visit. Happy to recommend this pub.

They do have a very small car park, not for the feint hearted, there is also a free car park by the ferry.

We only used the pub ( not the accommodation or restaurant) But boy was it a great experience. When we entered there was a warm fire burning and a warm Cornish welcome from the staff. In fact the staff could not be more obliging. Ensuring all our needs were catered for. Toilets were very clean and the general feel of the pub was Cornish, which after all is the purpose of our visit. There was a great interaction between visitors locals and staff that ensured all present enjoyed their visit. Beer was of an excellent quality and prices in line with local pubs. Drawbacks? Parking definitely as there is no pub car park and food overpriced but in line with area. Definitely worth a visit.

On the last day of our visit the sun really shone and after completing the 'Hall walk' we enjoyed an alfresco lunch at this superb pub. Food was great and so was the service, and the view from the terrace worth double, fantastic

The Old Ferry Inn offers one the best views of Fowey . Its such a friendly place and the food is to die for. French Chef and owner Pascal serves amazing French cuisine and the staff are really friendly . The rooms are very cosy with amazing views of the river accessed by the Bodinnick Ferry from the Fowey side. Its an absolute must place to visit
