Stayed here for 7 nights this month. 4 adults and a 3 year old.
The place is beautiful! We stayed in Lodge 21 which faces the lake and across to the touring Caravan park. The place was spotless, beds were comfortable, felt like a nice Scandanavian hotel! Showers were so pressured they were beautiful. Complimentary toiletries, towels and robes were well used!
Lodge was very well equipped with Dishwasher, Smart TV, Free WiFi, and all kitchen utensils! Dishwasher tablets also provided!

Couple of things I picked up from previous reviews I'd read to reinforce, children aren't provided with a robe (which you'll want after the hot tub!) and there is no washing machine, but there is a launderette on the caravan site you can use. You have to leave a deposit when you arrive, but this will be returned after the cleaners have been round, providing you have left your lodge clean, tidy and haven't broken anything obviously!

The hot tub is amazing! Constantly at 36-38 degrees and someone comes round every morning to check it ready for the day.

Didn't eat at Berts pizzeria, but we samples the chips in the village, and the Dacre Arms (it was nice, seemed popular, has 3 real ales on)
The bar in the reception area is reasonably priced - much cheaper than Berts!

We ventured out to Bridlington... Not the best! Like a typical English seaside that's been left to ruin.
We also went to Hornsea, which is much nicer!
Beverley has a brilliant town centre, and has a good Saturday Market!

All in all, for the cost, it was absolutely perfect! So much more than I was expecting! Definitely more our scene than a Butlins/Haven etc!

We stayed in no 7 which was by the smaller pond.
The lodge itself was lovely and clean and cosy. We cooked 2 evening meals and breakfast and had enough kitchen items to do this. The hot tub was lovely and the dressing gown and slippers they provided are a nice touch.
We walked into the village and had a few drinks at The Black Swan which was a friendly place.
Overall lovely relaxing quiet weekend.

We stayed at darcey lakeside in November, the place and staff are lovely.. However I contacted hoseasons as the water in out Lodge was dirty, which before we noticed had been drinking, which explained our upset stomach's we all had thinking it was just a bug. They where not interested at all and just referred it back to the darcey lakeside even though they were our booking agent. I wasn't looking for money back, just them to take some responsibility. I had pictures and videos of the dirty water, but they just shrugged it off. Awful customer service from hoseasons...

Had a fab snowy week at Dacre Lakeside with my husband, daughter, son in law and twin toddler grandsons.
Our lodge was right on the waters edge so we had a great view of the water, ducks, swans and snowy grounds from our hot tub. Hot tub was a good size and would easily fit 6 although we went in 2 at a time. The lodge had 3 good sized rooms, 1 double and 2 twins. An ensuite with each bedroom, great showers in 2 plus a bath in one of the twins, which was ideal for the children. There was a lovely restaurant on the site which served pizzas, pastas, steaks and many other dishes. The staff were lovely and great with the kids. Close to the restaurant is an outdoor play area which the boys enjoyed, even in the snow. There is fishing available free of charge although my son in law didn’t manage to catch anything on this occasion. The site is within walking distance of the village pub which had a large variety of good food. Nice friendly staff too. There is a shop close to the pub that has most items you could need. We travelled to The Deep in Hull which is only about half an hour away and well worth a visit. We had a couple of minor issues but as soon as we contacted the site number someone was with us to sort it within 10 minutes. Our only problem was the sound of the heating on a night as the boiler is right next to the double bedroom but eventually we got used to it. Overall a great site and the kids really enjoyed the sledging.
