Pam was really helpful with all the administration and booking details. The property was spacious and clean with all modern appliances, an easy to work in and beautiful kitchen, plenty of crockery and cooking equipment and many extras. The lounge was comfortable with plenty of seating, occasional tables etc. Both bedrooms good sizes, with advantage of en suite to one and family bathroom also. Utility room with washing machine should you need it. Little touches like cupboard for shoes, coat racks all make it easier to keep things tidy! The heating was very efficient and it would be lovely and cosy in the winter. The outdoor seating area was lovely. a decked area off the dining/sitting room with very nice furniture and quiet enough to attract much wildlife. The dining room table was even laid ready for our arrival!
The lodge is in a secluded area of a holiday chalet park and there is plenty to do if you choose. But as it is well away from the main entertainment area it remains peaceful especially as it is in a cul de sac with no passing cars....however it is only a few minutes walk if you wish to use the facilities. The fish and chip shop serves amazing food at a good price we thought. Kingfisher Retreat is suitable for all ages...we were four adults, wanting to explore the surrounding area during the day, with somewhere spacious and comfortable to spend our evenings...for this it is perfect. It would also be a lovely place for a young family, or for active growing children who may like to use the park facilities.

Only had a couple of days in the lodge but wished we could have stayed longer. Very clean and spacious. Will definately return when in the area again.
