Booked a 3 night break for myself, partner and mother to extend our holiday in Weymouth. As soon as we walked into the house we felt at home. It is tastefully decorated throughout with thought gone into every detail.
There is a lounge area with comfortable large corner sofa and a single chair, plenty of room for everyone. Diner area following open plan from the lounge with 6 seater table and chairs. Tv in the lounge and DVD, Playstation (not that we had time to use but great any children visiting!). The kitchen seemed small in the pictures but we were surprised how large it was, wide enough not to have to go single file down to the cloakroom at the end of the house. The kitchen was also very light with 2 full large full length windows and double patio doors leading to the back yard/patio/outdoor seating area.
Upstairs you have 2 bedrooms on the first floor (1 double and 1 twin) with a further bedroom on the 2nd floor (Double). All decent sized with storage.
The bathroom which is on the 1st floor again a decent size with a full bath, toilet and large stand alone shower.
I had trouble using the central heating (user error I'm afraid) and Tracey and Steve personally sorted this out immediately. It was actually very easy to use!
Regards Parking, yes the parking on the road can be busy but we were lucky enough to find a space and we left the car there using the Parking Permit supplied all weekend!
So close to town but without town noises! My mother uses a mobility scooter and had no trouble getting to and from the town from the house.
So close to the sea front too, really just a perfect location, will recommend to any friends I know looking to come to Weymouth!
We had really been looking forward to this holiday after reading all the positive reveiews on this property and we were definitley not disappointed! Upon arriving in the street we were sligtly worried it wasn't going to live up to expectations but as soon as we opened the door we was impressed.
Property - very clean, and well decorated. I was surprised at how much space there was especially as one of the reviews said you'd struggle with 6 people, there were 4 Adults, 2 children & a just turned 2yr old and we didn't struggle for space at all.
It is well equipped with everything you could need for your stay, even the back yard which is small but a well utilised space and very secure for Children to play in. Our 2yr old could play out without us needing to be in the yard with him.
Location - the property is ideal location very short walk to both the beach & the town centre. Weymouth itself if beautiful and absolutely packed full of things to do which I wasn't expecting.
We went with high expectations after reading the reviews, this property exceeded those expectations!
Also - a massive thankyou to the owners and the lady from the cleaning company for giving us extra time in the morning when our son with complicated health problems encountered some problems. It was a very stressful time thanks for goving us the time to get him right.
Just got back after a 5 day stay. Lovely house everything you need, only downside for us was the parking, which we were aware of when we booked, but didn't realise it would be quite as bad - very narrow street and you daren't go out in the car once you have a space or it's very difficult to get another one...
As a family of 6 we took 2 cars and you only get a parking permit for one car, so my daughter had to park on the nearby car park, which cost about £12 a day and was a nightmare remembering to pay either on the ticket machine or on her phone each morning at 8am. (It's free between 6pm and 8am).
If you don't drive and went by train it would be ideal as the station is only round the corner.
The house is situated very close to the sea front so ideal for people with children.
Close to some good places to eat out. Aldi supermarket, KFC and McDonalds just a short walk away and also we found Wilkos a good place for a lot of things, which is not far either.
Owners very prompt at answering any queries you have.
Such a shame about the parking or I think we would have made it our favourite place to stay in Weymouth!
