Description: Passion. It is quite often impossible to summarise the experience created within a restaurant with just one word. Passion. Passion to produce the best food possible with the freshest and finest ingredients we can scour the world to find. Passion to strive to be the best. Passion to ensure that our customers remember. Passion to cater for people from all walks of life and give them a lasting memory of our restaurant. We're not going to tell you about how we have stunning river views with outdoor dining set in a 13th Century cellar conversion. We're not going to bore you with how difficult we are to find. We want you to come here, seek us out, walk down those narrow steps, be surprised by what lies beneath and leave wishing you had found us sooner. We're not perfect, we're not the best in the world, but we strive to be the best we can and evolve every day, so come join us on our journey.

Well priced too - My fiancée and I had three courses each and shared a bottle of wine for £75.
Will definitely be returning.

Our Sunday lunch looked promising waitress seemed knowledgeable and professional. Only a few of us had starters which seemed to take ages to arrive again the tables took ages to clear. Mains arrived and out of 7 covers 4 were sent back due to food being cold. Apologies and reduction in the bill never really softened what was a disappointing visit never to be repeated.

Whitby crab, duck breast, classics but brought in innovative way, this place was a real good surprise. Very nice wine list also. Service was attentionate. Recommended.

Lovely restaurant, food was excellent but the service was lacking. We had to attract the waiter to order additional drinks and then remind him on two separate occasions. We were half way through our meal before we got the second round of drinks and still no water.

The lunch menu offers a good choice and was very reasonably priced. The drinks were rather expensive but the opportunity to sit out and eat overlooking the river evened things out.
