Had one night here over the weekend, the pub / hotel was very clean, and friendly, very helpful staff.Car park at the side of the hotel is free for overnight guests, ( just give your car reg to reception when you check-in) . Bed was comfortable if not a little on the firm side.Clean towels / / soap / hair dryer/ iron & ironing board/ T.V./ tea and coffee in room also.Good breakfast for £3.50. Hotel is 15 min walk to Wigan town center.Would recommend.

Simple, clean rooms with comfortable beds.
Very nice staff throughout the hotel - those at the desk, those in the restaurant, and even the maids.

Restaurant has good food at moderate prices with a varied menu.
The "NY Style Pastrami on a Bagel" is not very authentic though (surprise, surprise)!

Location is relatively convenient to Wigan Town Centre (about 15 minutes walk),
and there is frequent bus service, although at around £2 per ride it's a bit pricey.
.

Room Tip: Book early if you want a Saturday night - seems to be always full then.

Have stayed in various hotels belonging to W/Spoons chain over the years however this one was by far he poor relation. Room/Bathroom dated, several fixtures broken/rusty, extremely small double bed for room, noise in background all night from coolers/air con units, broken blind in bedroom, mould in bathroom. Would not stay in this one again even though it was cheap but then it was a Sunday so not many guests.

I stay at this brilliant hotel most weeks for work and every time I am amazed at the quality and value of the rooms. In addition the food and drinks are very competitively priced making this the perfect Business stopover. However the biggest assets this hotel has are its people ! they are friendly and efficient and will do so much more for you than they have to. I would not stay anywhere else in Wigan !

As a family of 3 we stayed here for a saturday night after attending a wedding in the town. The room was a good size for a family room, and had all the facilities required. To top it off, its a Wetherspoons, so you can wake up at 7am and get a fabulous, large breakfast so soak away any drink from the night before. i would for sure stay here again if the need arose.
