“Fantastic place to stay”

We stayed at Waterside House for a week in January. Outside it was cold, snowy and stormy while we were there but inside was warm and cosy. Central heating kept us warm throughout the stormy nights and plenty of hot water available from the power showers to heat us up after a day outdoors.
Waterside house is freshly decorated and has quirky decorative pieces e.g antler chair in dining area to make you feel that you are in an upmarket rental.
There is ample space in the house for family to stay but not be on top of each other and the kitchen dining area provides the ideal space for cooking and entertaining, with the main living room upstairs for you to retire to after a long day.
The Waterside Bistro is just next for the nights we couldn't be bothered cooking and local amenities meant that we didn't have far to go for food shopping, walk along the river and look in the local shops.
Would recommend Waterside House to families or groups who want a country retreat within the town.

“Fabulous place to stay with friends or family”

Stunningly presented property with ample space for everyone in both the bedrooms and the shared areas. Beautifully decorated and finished with a boutique hotel style finish and an abundance of John Lewis!

The setting is stunning too, right on the river with the living room on the first floor looking out over the river to the church beyond. Great for walks directly from the house, or if you have a car there are plenty a short drive away. We managed a walk a day for 6 days, only one of which we got in a car.

Another added bonus is the gorgeous Waterside Inn next door. We visited the pub a few times during our stay. We all travel extensively for work and are therefore very hard to impress, however the staff were always friendly and welcoming and and we had several really good meals there including fantastic salmon, pork belly and venison on New Year's Eve.

Would definitely recommend both the cottage and the Waterside. Haddington too was a gorgeous place to explore. Enjoy! You won't be disappointed.
