We enjoyed the food and the great services. The only downside is that we did not expect the portion of the food was huge. We did not have any room left for desserts.

If we visit again, we will have to decide to choose starters or desserts, besides mains.

We had a party of six who varied in age from 50-89 years old. We found great sofas in front of the fire and enjoyed a few beers before eating at the round table in the window. The food was varied and all had different meals, all were good. We had two bottles of wine, both good and desserts. Even the cheeseboard to finish was great.

I was in Shanklin with some friends over the weekend of 10/11th March 2018 and we were drawn into this pub as it's very attractive with charm. We were able to get a table for 4 by the roaring log fire in the bar area and with a reasonable menu I thought this was a great choice. I had the fish and chips and despite the fish looking a good size and appealing on the plate the actual fish was poor and was dull in colour and taste. What was even more frustrating was the response to my complaint was not well handled and was very defensive. They said they would come back to me on this but never did so I had to follow up and were not sincere.
