The room was very small. Our suitcase just fitted into the wardrobe on the suitcase stand but then our clothes didn't hang properly. We had to put the suitcase in the wardrobe as there was nowhere else to put it!. There was nowhere to hang our damp clothes after getting caught out in the rain, except for the shower controls. We had to put our toiletries in the window as there was nowhere else. All in all it was very cramped.

The corridor smelt of cigarette smoke each morning when we went down for breakfast but when we returned after breakfast it smelt of air freshener!

The Chinese restaurant was useful in the evening and the breakfast in the morning was good with a choice of options including a full English, cereal, fruit and toast. Brown toast and kippers can be ordered in advance.

It was a shame the lounge wasn't up to much. The hotel was a good position on the promenade.

The staff were very polite and helpful.

Room Tip: Not sure there are any.

This hotel, which is totally in keeping with the island takes me back to the 1970s. It is well maintained with comfortable clean rooms and friendly staff. Our room was not large, but was adequate. Breakfast was good. Downside was the lack of a lounge to relax in. Signage took us downstairs to a dingy room which felt more like staff quarters.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms were a good size. The staff were all friendly. There was a good choice of cooked breakfast, extras (like mushrooms) could be asked for the following day. The food in the attached Chinese Restaurant was excellent.

Room Tip: Our rooms were at the side of the hotel. There must have been some overlooking the sea

Do not book a room at rear of hotel if you like peace and quiet !
The hotels breakfast room doubles as a Chinese Restaurant in the evenings and the noise from industrial extractor fans is awful! Hot weather during stay meant windows had to be left open and noise from fan was horrendous! Didn't get turned down till 10.30 - 11.00 pm and then comes on again as breakfast service commences.
Room was clean but shabby. Bathroom same. Both in need of refurbishment.
Not even an electric socket in convenient place for hairdryer or phone charger. Small TV perched way to high on top of wardrobe made viewing uncomfortable.
Staff in general polite but in no way compensates for noise and poor facilities in room.
Would I return?
Absolutely not!

Have been using this hotel for the past 6 years. The service and facilities have always been excellent. Very friendly staff who go out of their way to help, excellent restaurant, the meal are always of a very high standard. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Room Tip: Would recommend rooms on the front of the hotel
