The owner, Pia, met us near Casemates Square and showed us the way to the apartment. She is a charming lady and even helped me with my suitcase. The apartment is on a steep hill with steps and a ramp to one side (for pushchairs and suitcases). Pia provided food for our first breakfast. The kitchen is well equipped (fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and electric oven). The bedroom has a very comfortable kingsize bed, two wardrobes and air conditioning (for which we were very grateful). Bed linen and towels are provided. The pleasant lounge has a ceiling fan. We met Peter, Pia's son-in-law, on our last day. He said that they realised that we were catching an evening flight and said they had arranged for the cleaner to visit the following day and that we could use the apartment until we left for the airport. Most kind of them and much appreciated.
The apartment is within five to ten minutes on foot from Main Street, Casemates Square, the two cathedrals, King's Chapel, Gibraltar Museum, Alameda Gardens and the cable car to the summit of the Rock. It took around 15 minutes to walk to Marina Bay for the boat to see the dolphins. We had a lovely eight-day stay.
A very good location near Main Street and all the eateries and attractions.
Very clean with great hot water, laundry facilities, wifi and comfortable sitting area.
Very quiet with an excellent sunny outlook.
