Excellent facilities. Cottage was clean and tidy when we arrived with a bottle of wine to welcome us, at least I hope it was for us! A very nice touch.
The beds were very uncomfortable and the heating kept us all nice and cosy.
Plenty of parking in front of the cottage. The swimming pool was warm but the changing area is a bit cramped if there are more than 5 people, with only one shower and a very small area to change in it is a bit of a tight squeeze but the cottage was very near and we could run across in bathers to change.
On site was also a crazy golf, tennis court, gym and children's play area and in the cottage there was everything needed to play any of the games. My grandchildren loved the crazy golf.
This is the first time I've stayed in
St Florence and it is in a very good location for lots of the adventures parks.
We would all definitely stay there again and I would recommend it to anyoney interested in visiting that part of Tenby
Cartwrights Cottage in the village of St. Florence is well maintained and an excellent place to stay. We had our granddaughters for a week of their school holidays and the cottage and facilities on site were just what was wanted. The swimming pool, tennis courts, crazy golf and play area were all used. The location is good to get to Tenby, Saundersfoot, Manorbier, and other locations. The Manor House Wildlife Park is near and a good place to visit. The village has a general store and pub, which were used. We hope to book Cartwrights Cottage again in the future.
Stayed for a week with children before the mad school holidays rush. Cartwrights cottage was a very comfortable place to stay. Arrived to find that a number of ants had beaten us to the cottage. After speaking to the owner, Geoff on phone, it was dealt with within the hour! Excellent response! I think they were attracted by a few part opened, mouldy loaves of bread left in the breadbin, that housekeeping missed from the last occupants stay a few weeks previous.
My only niggle was the dishwasher would not stay running due to a faulty power switch on door. A bit of improvisation with golf club putter, solves the problem though!
It was nice to see that the owner had thought to provide tennis rackets, table tennis bats & balls, golf putters & golf balls & even spades for the beach! Nice touch that enabled us to make the most of the onsite facilities!
Swimming pool was a comfortable temperature for being active in. Although, the ladies shower I changing rooms did not work.
The sauna was £1 for 15mins. Shame the light inside didn't work!
These small faults make a difference on the facilities Ivy tower provides. Although this is not a reflection on the cottage, it is a reflection on the overall package.
Lovely cottage, with lovely touches throughout. Bottle of wine and pint of milk on arrival was very thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Very child friendly including bed rail, cutlery and plates and everything was clean. Ample parking and amazing amenities. Central location for Tenby, Carew Castle, Saundersfoot etc
We will definitely come again!
The cottage was clean and warm when we arrived, the owner had thought of everything, and I mean everything! that you could possibly need for a lovely break, We enjoyed the dog friendly pub the Sun just down the road, We found the service in the tearoom across the road was awful, the woman serving us was horrible. The pool was nice and near to the cottage. It was snowing when we were there so I can imagine it would be fabulous in the sunshine. Many thanks would definitely go back to Cartwright Cottage.
