My family and I booked to go for our christmas dinner at stanhill court 18 of us , we was all really excited and looking forward to our dinner , after spending £172 for my family of 4 we were expecting a Christmas banquet to remember, it was a dinner to remember but for all the wrong reasons. We were handed our starters , not even a mouthful of each, the children received a bread roll as a starter , the Christmas dinner arrived , and we thought they had given us a child's plate , 3 small roast potatoes , 2 Brussels sprouts , 1 slice of carrot , stuffing in the shape of a hockey puc , and that's about it , there was no Yorkshire pudding no parsnips hardly any veg , it's safe to say we didn't eat fresh cut turkey , it was a frozen turkey leg joint ,then the pudding , again a mouthful of each. We were all so very disappointed and left still feeling hungry , I have emailed the hotel and still not had a reply , it's safe to say myself and my family will not return to this hotel for our Xmas dinner .

having been recently at this hotel for xmas dinner and paying £65 for it I must say I will never do it again, the meal was not worth it, on xmas dinner plate there was one piece of carrot, one brussel sprout. 3 potatoes and brenard Mathews turkey, not a fresh turkey but frozen turkey and not much of it either. there was no, swede, no red cabbage,no parsnips, no Yorkshire puddings and a spit of gravy, overall not worth £6 never mind £65, myself and my family were disgusted by it, the protion size of adult meal was the same size as a childs meal. the desert was 5 little bits of chocolate, a basic cash and carry Christmas pudding with custard not cream, and a teaspoon full of the custard to cover the pudding. so I would suggest anyone thinking of going here for xmas dinner think again as I would never go back, drinks very expensive to £32 for 5 drinks, and the childrens meal cost £22 and they only get 2 courses.

The food is excellent and the price is very reasonable. The menu is small but perfect as nothing coming out of the freezer in to the microwave. This is a must for people who love their food

Altogether a good and enjoyable dining experience, dining room had a good ambiance and was nicely laid out, good service and relatively reasonable in price compared to our 500 euro pn hotel in Italy where a meal for 2 cost twice as much
