Great building, fantastic views over Morecambe Bay, great room, friendly staff. The decor is brilliant. The Morecambe Promenade is clean and makes for good walking. Plenty to see and do nearby. Easy access and plenty of parking.

The Midland is a beautifully located hotel, definitely the place to stay in Morecambe. Great attention to detail has taken place in restoring this art deco gem to its original splendour. Rooms are comfortable and well designed. The public areas are a delight to be in. The owners of this hotel obviously take great care in trying to make it a memorable stay for their guests.
Whilst the staff clearly try their best to be friendly and helpful, it is in the area of personnel that the Hotel fails somewhat. The biggest problem we found was the liaison between kitchen and waiting staff.
At dinner, our main courses arrived stone cold. At breakfast, not once but three times, our cooked breakfasts arrived at the table whilst we were still eating our cereal.
There also seems to be some kind of pecking order amongst the restaurant staff. When we asked a pony-tailed gentleman if he was the head waiter [ because we wanted to discuss our cold dinner with him] he said ‘no but I am more or less’. He then disappeared for a considerable time, before returning surrounded by an aroma of cigarette smoke. During the breakfast mis-deliveries, one girl, assuming head waiter status, blamed our waitress for the bad timing. It seems to us that the restaurant staff need clearer and firmer direction from management.

Room tip: Sea view and balcony is a must.

One of my favourite views. The South Lake District at its best. Well if the sun is out!

The rooms are tastefully done. Essential to have a sea view. Lovely big bed and super shower.

The breakfast menu ranges from full English to Manx kippers, all following a full table of yoghurts, fruit and pastries.

The Full English was first rate, up with the view. Delicious bacon, sausage, black pudding, tomato, mushroom, beans and eggs any way.

We will definitely return.

From entering the building of this hotel, there is that magnificent Art Deco Style that has a charming feeling, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother, rooms are fantastic, comfortable, clean and well laid out, dinning room very nice with lovely view over sea, bar area is amazing again with lovely views and good range of food and drinks, overall this Midland Hotel is a very relaxing place to stay and fully recommend it, we will return.

Room tip: all rooms are lovely, however the rooms with sea views are more slightly bigger with fantastic views

My third visit and always a wonderful experience. There is always an imaginative vegetarian option and the food is so sophisticated and delightful yet reasonably priced and unpretentious.
The dining room with its panoramic ever changing scenery is a delight and the staff have impeccable service skills and charm. A visit here is one of lifes pleasures perfect food to enjoy and a memory that sustains and nourishes you.
