Very enjoyable evening meal but just does not have that little extra to earn five stars. Halibut was very good, Fillet steak cooked just right (so many times I've ordered medium which turned out to be well done) so pleased they cooked it just right. Desserts really nice had creme boulle and the raspberry with puffed rice, the rice looked remarkably like fried maggots, but were excellent.
Good choice of ales and lager, excellent wine list.

Me and my friend thought we would give this hotel a go after hearing such great reviews about it. From start to finish the whole experience was great. Food quality amazing and the service phenomenal. Can't fault the place. If you want somewhere sophisticated and relaxed with amazing views - this is the place you need to be!

This was a birthday treat for me and I was not disappointed. The food was very good (though some would say the portions are small) and the overall atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and on the whole efficient though we had a couple of little niggles like not being offered water. All in all an enjoyable lunch.

We had a couple of hours to kill and thought we’d try this restaurant as it had come highly recommended.
We were welcomed in with a smile and the service was fantastic - quick and cheery (unlike the weather!)
The food was well presented and very tasty! Particularly the lamb belly - Melt in the mouth delicious!
We were planning our next visit before we even paid the bill.
If you visit Morecambe, you must visit the Midland and try the food.

Based in the wonderful Art Deco Midland Hotel we were expecting a traditional Sunday Lunch in keeping with the hotel, not the yuppy fare we had.
To start we were shown to our table in an almost empty restaurant, pity the chairs didn't match the chairs (Lloyd Loom) in the part used for afternoon tea.
We waited quite some time before someone came to take our order, we chose our starters, mains and wine, then waited and waited for our starters to arrive, we had almost finished them before the wine arrived, we asked for some water, it arrived in a plastic jug.
When our mains arrived already plated which we were somewhat surprised by, we were also took back by the serving of pork and beef, the pork was an oblong slab accompanied by an oblong block of potato and the beef came with hard roast potatoes that had sat under a lamp for too long.
We had to ask for apple sauce and horseradish sauce, both had obviously come out of a jar.
Two of us had apple sponge, the chef must have a weird view of what sponge is.
Sorry we were very impressed with the hotel but not at all impressed with the restaurant
