No 8 Sea View Gift Shop & Coffee Stop

Looks more like a gift shop from the outside with a lot of interesting gifts. The staff were friendly and accommodating to gluten free needs. The coffee and cakes were great, even at the end of the day. We visited twice during the week and would certainly recommend it.

On a very wet day in Aberdovey we went for a good long walk and on our way back we looked for somewhere to have a refreshing cup of coffee. We walked past No 8 and decided to give it a try. Firstly, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The cappuccinos were absolutely delicious and had obviously been made with both care and expertise. If you are looking for a decent cup of coffee then this is the place to go in Aberdovey!! We just wish we had tried it sooner but will return on our next visit to this lovely part of Wales.

We were a party of four and ate here on Sunday evening. All our meals came quick and were piping hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only problem sticky tables.

We enjoyed coffee and cakes here on an October afternoon.
There are just a few tables in what is basically a gift shop but I have not had cakes this moist and delicious for quite a while. Try the Chocolate and Coffee and Walnut cake, you won't be disappointed.
As for drinks the coffee was pretty good, Americano was nice and pouring cream adequate in quantity and cappuccino was better than some recent versions we have had.
We could pick up wifi, not sure if it was from Number 8 or not?
They sell quiz cards in the gift shop and there are some placed on the cafe tables which was a little annoying as the neighbouring table insisted on loudly playing the quiz cards which did somewhat spoil the atmosphere. Maybe a bad idea!
However I recommend Number 8 Sea View as the cakes are very nice.

Very friendly café serving a nice selection of cakes and pastries. The bara brith was moist and very tasty! There are only 3 tables but after some customers left they suggested they move tables around to make it more comfortable for our group which was a nice gesture.
