“excellent value, beautiful location.”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014
person found this review helpful

I was a bit dubious because of reviews i'ld read, but needed a last minute booking for August, so took a chance, we had to split our stay to get four nights, so stayed in bungalow 7 and 60. once we'ld got ovet the shock of the lane upto the site which is very steep we were pleasantly suprised at the interior of the bungalow, it was spotless, smelt nice, fantastic views over the estuary. piping hot water, £1 slot for electric, we used a £1 for two nights, so no complaints. gas central heating if you needed it. Everything you would need for your stay, (except a toilet roll, maybe something you could trow in for free, the toilet is usualy the first stop before unpacking). the water had a brown tinge, but this was explained in the leaflet. it's sourced localy and has all been treated.
i couldn't fault No 7, we then moved to No 60, this was a little dated, i think it's just been aquired by the holiday firm, so may need a little work. But the location again was brilliant, and where as No 7 had a balcony, No 60 has a garden, which would be great for children, as it's a three bedroom chalet. Very clean, again lovely linen, main bathroom and ensuite for double room. I think these bungalows/chalets are excellent value for the price, the views are fantastic, so are worth the steep hairpin bend lane up, but you do get used to this. will be revisiting the site for a longer stay.
Nearly forgot to say, there is dog walking facilities in a field above the site, but sometimes has sheep in it, (if you live in Wales you will be used to this), so will need to keep the dog on the lead, but the views from up there are even better than on the site.
