What a lovely cafe! Friendly and helpful staff made us very welcome, gave us menus and showed us upstairs where it was a bit quieter.
The menu is varied and has something for everyone - including our two young children - and what value!
The food is delicious, we had gorgeous home made soup and the best ham and piccalilli sandwiches ever. The ham was home cooked and carved, the piccalilli was perfect and beautifully fully served with a lovely salad garnish and crisps. Both the soups were home made and equally delicious. The children had mini burgers and chips which were just perfect.
It was a busy saturday lunchtime and the cafe was almost full so we did have a slight wait - but with everything being made to order it was certainly worth it.
Thoroughly recommend this cafe and we will certainly be back. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

Called in for the first Sunday lunch at mr. Browns even though I live in Brampton.
Service was very quick and the food delicious. Nice surroundings and at £8.95 per person was very good value. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Stopped by here for a quick cup of tea/coffee and a bit to eat. We managed to find a seat on the ground floor easily although the table still had the previous visitors leftover cups/plates etc on there which we pushed to one side and assumed they would be cleared away soon.

After surveying the menu, we ordered 3 x toasties/sandwiches and 3 x hot drinks and sat back down to wait. After 25 minutes of waiting we still hadn't received either our drinks or food and had to ask a member of staff. After we'd done this another member of staff was sent over to take our order - to which we had to explain that no we'd already ordered and were waiting for it to arrive! After another 10 minutes the food and 2 drinks arrived but not the third drink! After waiting a further 5 minutes to see if it would arrive we had to ask another member of staff where it was, and it arrived a few minutes after that.

The food/drinks were of good quality and were reasonably priced but the service really let it down - the member of staff we spoke to told us it had been super busy all day, but when we were there, there were several tables free so it wasn't at 100% capacity.

We have family in the area who assure us it isn't always this disorganised, but unfortunately we were only in Brampton for a fleeting visit so we won't get chance to try again to see if it's any better.

Thank you for your comments. We can only apologise for this. The day had been very hectic. We did ensure customers were told their would be a wait. This does not usually occur happy new year and look forward to seeing you in the future.
