Afternoon tea is lovely here. Great location but the Sunday carvery lunch was awful. Watery veg, tough meat and a server with a bad attitude!!! Much better places to have Sunday lunch in WSM but the scones are lovely!!!

Visted Tiffanys on 19 th August for afternoon tea with my husband. In fact still in Western writing this.when we arrived we were moved we were put on wrong table,no one knew we booked for afternoon tea,3 to 4 young students working, was told because I didn't want tea wanted coffee, that I would have to pay extra for coffee,There was a drunk man wondering around,Staff and manager hadn't a clue with him.Afternoon tea came very poor quality, sandwiches were ok,scones ok,but the plate of small cakes very poor.A lot of them were frozen miniature cakes from Iceland. Was looking forward to it but not a nice visit, wouldn't visit again.Staff very young, food a rip off,Wished I would have asked for a refund.Inside dosent look like what is shown on website.Wont recomend or go again.Cakes a big let down and staff.Very average not worth a visit.

Not sure if management has changed but have been here before and found staff abrupt and unwelcoming but despite it being very busy today, found the total reverse. Everyone who dealt with us was polite, efficient and helpful. The tea and the cream scone were also delicious.

Me, my mum and nan had a day trip to Weston-super-Mare to celebrate my nans birthday and decided to have lunch here as a treat. We wish we'd gone somewhere else. Upon entering we weren't sure if we waited to be seated or just Sat down as there were no staff members greeting us even though there were 4 staff members by the bar. Once we had found a table we then weren't sure if we went to the bar to order or if our order was taken at the table as again this wasn't explained to us. Eventually made eye contact with the waiter and he came over.

Our drinks took ages to come and so did the food. The ham egg and chips was awful - the ham was very thin, the eggs were hard and only a handful of chips were served. Not what you expect for near on £10. My chicken and bacon sandwich was okay, but again only a handful of chips were served with this and I expected nicer bread for again nearly £10.

Overall we felt the food was very overpriced for what it was and the service was terrible. There were 4 or 5 staff members work front of house so not really sure why it was taking so long for orders to be taken and drinks to be served. Poor communication to customers as well.
