The location, close to south downs national park, and within easy reach of the attractive county town of Lewes.
A short drive to the coast, with the famous white cliffs of the seven sisters country park.
Seaside attractions are also close to hand in Brighton and Hove.
Next door to the getaway, is the excellent cock pub, which has a very varied menu and good range of beers.
The Getaway was a lovely, cosy and well equipped base for our tour of Sussex and Kent. We were warmly welcomed and the homemade scones on arrival were much appreciated and a lovely touch. We will be returning next year.
The getaway is a very secluded accommodation well away from the main road.Inside it is well equipped with a lovely comfortable bed. John and Joy not forgetting Cara are always ready for a chat but we were left in private just like having good neighbours. We would certainly stay again if were on a visit to the Brighton area
The studio was a good size, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent too. The private patio was pleasant and the rest of the garden was interestingly planted. Our hosts, Joy and John were extremely pleasant and helpful and their little dog is a cutie.
The place is very conveniently place beside a good and quiet pub/restaurant and is sited away from the busy A26 road.
In all, with the luck of brilliantly sunny bank holiday weather made an extremely pleasant getaway.
This property is in an ideal location for getting to know East Sussex. It is set in an idyllic garden and the property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Joy and John are most welcoming - of my dog, too - and the home-made scones on arrival were an added treat!
I would definitely like to visit again.
