Four of us (2 couples) stayed with Mark & Lindsay for a week. We both rented motorcycles and stayed in apartments 1 & 2. The location is superb and the views across the valley from the garden & terrace are breathtaking. Both apartments were well equipped and spotlessly clean. Mark & Lindsay are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them (even taking yours truly to the doctors when I contracted an ear infection)and their local knowledge of the area is invaluable. Teba is a lovely spanish town but bear in mind hardly anyone speaks english so brush up on your spanish. If you want l english menus, lots of lager and british style pubs Teba is not for you (thank god!) The riding around this area of Andalucia is fantastic, great (almost empty) roads, unbelievable scenery and plenty of places to see & visit meant our week literally flew by. Equally though a relaxing week could be spent just chilling around the pool and walking into Teba (10 mins max) for a spot of lunch etc....However Lindsay is a good cook and will happily cater for visitors. Her Hot Garlic prawns are superb!! Overall a great holiday and we'll definatley be back in 2012

“Beautiful views, great roads and a warm welcome.”

Visting Teba was part of our recent motorcycle tour of Spain and the beautiful scenery around Andalucia made it the ideal destination. Staying at La Calera isn't like most villa appartment holidays, it's just like visting old friends. Lindsay & Mark are always on hand to advise where to find the best days out. The appartments were spacious, well furnished and absolutely spotless. The pool is kept clean and if you need a cold beer or soft drink there's a fridge with an honesty box, what more can you want? Teba is a lovely village and though most of the people don't speak English the residents are a friendly bunch. In the town there are many bars which stay open late and are currently very cheap.
If you like motorcycling Mark will hire you one of his very latest BMW's and advise you on some excellent roads to travel.
Whilst in Teba go visit El Chorro or Ronda, both lovely sight seeing days out and if you fancy a great BBQ ask Mark to cook the Pork Ribs, awesome.

Just back from La Calera where we had a fantastic 8 day motorcycling holiday, everything about the holiday was spot on from the bikes to the services offered by Mark and Lindsay, they are always happy to help and on hand for everything you need. Great location with stunning views all around.
