Love being able to go back to the Old Mill. We had a great family gathering last summer when it first opened, enjoying the terrace with great food and local beers. The atmosphere is wonderful, a good mix of the old and the new. The location is beautiful by the Pike River of which we had an excellent view from the terrace with the old mill (Now a museum) in the background. There are picnic tables for people wanting to sit even closer to the river. This last time my sister and I decided to stop there Sunday early afternoon hoping for a nice lunch on the terrace. We were somewhat disappointed to find no small portions of their tasty food and decided not to stay because of it. As we were looking at the menu a family came in hoping for breakfast or brunch and also left because they weren’t hungry enough for the very generous portions offered. I understand people can share, but the option would be nice. Just a suggestion, maybe a Sunday brunch option would be nice. That day, including my sister and I, 9 people didn’t stay.
