Terrible rushed and the table was not laid out with cutlery or wine glasses the older waitress was rude !!!! we had to ask for wine glasses and cutlery also felt we were a inconvenience and the blonde bob waitress was miserable and could not of been more ruder if she wanted to be !!!! We had to pour our own wine as it was just put on table and the food was ok but had better very poor and won’t be going back !!!

6 of us went to the Ash last night.. we all enjoyed our meals and we thought it was a good price for what we had; 3 starters, 6 mains, 6 puds plus our drinks came to less than £150. The waitresses were friendly, although the girl behind the bar answered the phone midway through serving us drinks, she was on the phone good 5 minutes without apology. We arrived early evening and the pub was very chilly as the heating wasn't on, it did come on whilst we were there, but during the cold snap it might be an idea to warm the pub up before food service begins. That said we would definitely go again, as mostly our visit was a good experience and importantly the food was yummy!

Visited with a group of friends and we had a great evening, such a good welcome from a really helpful lady on the bar, one of our group was really impressed with the Yeovil made Gin they recommended too!
The menu is good and varied and the prices are very reasonable. Plenty of food on the plate too!
One of our group ended up being really late but they were very accommodating and made sure he had food when he got there.
All in all a really good pub with a proper traditional pub atmosphere! I'll be back!

We decided to try this place out, as we drive pass it on a weekly basic, with hind sight we should have kept going, we went in mid week for lunch, the only way to describe this place is like having a school dinner, compared to other local eateries they have a lot of catching up to do, this may seem like an unfair review, but the quality of the food or lack of it, left us with the thought of never going back there, it's very dated decor wise.
