“Wonderful”
Reviewed 2 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This is probably the best self catering cottage that we have stayed in since we stated holidaying in Scotland twenty two years ago. Spotless and very well presented, just what we wanted and excellent value. Hope to be back someday.

“Superb cottage, superb location, superb views.”
Reviewed 3 August 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This cottage has recently been re-furbished to a high standard. Everything is spotlessly clean, the owner is very helpful without being intrusive. A welcome pack left for us was very welcome. The uninterrupted views over the sea from the cottage are superb, whether from the large downstairs kitchen window or through the huge window in the upstairs lounge. Even on a rainy day there was an interesting view of the wild sea. We have been to Portknockie before, it is a great place to relax and there is a lot to do in the area. Sailmakers Cottage just makes it even better.

“A wonderful place to relax.”
Reviewed 19 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Sailmaker's cottage is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It had every thing we needed and the owner left us a lovely welcome pack of food. Its most special feature is the huge window in the upstairs lounge where you can watch the birds, boats and dolphins (binoculars provided).
The location within Portknockie is excellent with lovely walks in both directions along the coast. It is a quiet area which suited us very well.

What a find! Sailmaker's cottage surpassed all expectations in terms of the comfort, decor and facilities on offer. A beautiful welcome hamper on our arrival was an extremely nice and welcoming touch. Decorated to a high standard, it really did feel very homely and catered for our every need. With breathtaking views and dolphin sightings, the window seat in the lounge was by far the "hot seat". Would definitely look to return in the future - thank you for the chill out time and the memories!
