Without any reservation we got the last table with our three.
We had a familyday and as always we drove to late out of Zeeland.
Lucky us! And how?
Super fresh creuses of very high quality.
And the bouillabaisse is an original adventure here. The desserts were a little disappointing of volume/taste but with a marvellous presentation.
Always a very good place for reasonable prices and good quality plus very friendly service

Yerseke is Holland's capital city of shellfish, oysters and mussels to be more precise. No wonder that we found in the middle of the small city, next to the central church, a restaurant with the name Oesterbeurs or-in English - "Oyster Stock Exchange". It looked a quite formal place for this small city. Booking on line took one minute after checking the website. Upon arrival we were met by the "maître d'hotel" Colin who explained the various set menus. Obviously these were all based on seafood. We went for the Oesterbeurs menu with a splendid white Burgundy wine.
The service and food were perfect and would suit a capital city.
Next time we come to Yerseke we will not look for another place. This is Not a tourist trap.

De Oesterbeurs one of several top-end restaurants in Zeeland that participate in a collective venture to promote the Oosterschelde Kreeft (lobster) at this time of year. The restaurant is located in the centre of the quiet and charming little port of Yerseke in a historical building decorated inside in a contemporary style.
On arrival we received a genuinely friendly greeting, were relieved of our coats and shown to our table. We were instantly absorbed into the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the place. The staff were attentive, happy and helpful. When we had reserved by internet I had indicated that my partner had an intolerance to lactose, so were quietly impressed when the person taking our order confirmed this with us without any prompting. We both chose the special 3 course lobster menu devised for the Oosterschelde promotion.
Before the first course was served we each received an "amuse-bouche" to whet our appetite. I received a small seafood mouse and for my partner they had prepared a small mackerel pate with a ball of wasabi sorbet - both truly delicious and prepared with care.
The first course was a lobster salad, with amongst other things, some truffle mayonnaise, kinoa, parmesan and shallot chutney. The main course was based around grilled lobsters served with asparagus, sandfire, pistachios and lime. For each course they had prepared a special, equally exciting, lactose-free alternative for my partner.
The wine card offered a selection of well chosen and interesting, good quality wines from a variety of countries.
Overall the restaurant impressed us by the quality and interesting combinations of flavours, the friendly atmosphere and attentive service. A perfect venue for a quiet and delicious meal as a couple or a small group.

I read this restaurant was voted most popular restaurant in Zeeland, by the readers of hte regional newspaper, and I couldn't resist going there. We simply had a 3.5 hour fantastic dining experience, what a night out, couldn't have been better. From the moment we walked in and we were welcomed by the staff until we walked out this was a memorable dining experience. We went for the 50 euro 4-course menu and were not disappointed. This is a great chef and his team at work, no doubt about it. The amuses set the tone, and continued all the way to the little snacks we got with our coffees. The chef cooks to very high standard, and the combinations of ingredients and tastes will blow you away. We took a house chardonay that fit very well with all the complex combination of testes, and was very complimentary to the food, at 21 euros a bargain. All in all we had a great night and paid around 65 euros per person, all in. For such high quality a bargain. Leave the small kids at home so you can take your time.
