We have just returned home after spending eleven days in this fantastic apartment in Atlantic Shores!!
We were met by the lovely Jean who gave us lots of useful information about the apartment and the surrounding area. Jean had ensured that we had some basic shopping items to ensure we could have a snack and drink when we arrived...such a lovely friendly welcome!!
The apartment lived up to our expectations and more...everything you need is in this spacious apartment...we loved it!!
The view from the terraces are amazing and we had the lovely welcoming breeze too!!
The first week we more or less had the pool to ourselves which was great!! Unfortunately when the bottom two apartments were occupied they tended to leave their cushions on the sun loungers even when they weren't in use which was a bit annoying...that was the only minor downside to our stay..perhaps something could be added to the list of does and don'ts at the poolside.
Miami/Enterprise Beach is within walking distance where you can try a Roti from the beach cafe...delicious!! There is also a small beach and surf shack if you turn right out of the property...a short walk down the road and then onto the coastal path takes you there.
You ideally need a car to get you to other towns...I would recommend Oistins, St.Lawrence Gap, Speightstown, Bridgetown and Bathsheba...although this island is so colourful and friendly wherever you go.
We dined at Castaway's in the Gap, The Round House at Bathsheba, The Hilton in Bridgetown and Tiki Bar in the Gap...highly recommended.
I would definitely return to this apartment.. Sharon visited twice whilst we were there to change bedding and towels which were plentiful, she was very thorough with her cleaning of the apartment, nothing was to much trouble.
We were met at the airport and escorted to the apartment.
The first thing we noticed on the way to the apartment that the area was very well kept and the other buildings were luxurious and of a high quality.
Upon entering we were immediately met with a very clean and tidy but luxurious interior - we found everything we needed, coffee machine, microwave, huge fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, hairdryer etc.
As can be seen from the pictures the finishing within the apartment is all to a high standard and we were happy with what was provided. The pool area and gardens were well kept and very tidy.
We were very comfortable at Rosalie and will be looking to go back next year.
Apartment was awesome. Great for water sports, car recommended to access the beaches and oistins although there was a very nice restaurant within walking distance called Surfers Bar.
Nice walk to Silver Sands Beach, although Surfers bar temporarily closed. Well equipped kitchen. Good book collection. Loved the ice and water from the fridge. Master bedroom has balcony access and gorgeous sea view. Appreciated the air con in bedrooms. Jean available at all times to answer any questions. Grateful for her guiding us from airport to apartment on our arrival. Simon's recommendations were fantastic, we loved feeding the turtles fish scraps from Oistins fish market. Oistins and Miami Beach within walking distance. New 'Sea Window' almost complete on the route from Rosalie to Miami Beach. Enjoyed many a coconuts/coconut water from Coconut Chris on Miami Beach. Would happily stay here again!
This was our second visit to Rosalie apartment.
The location is excellent: close to a well-maintained sand beach (Enterprise Beach); a short drive to shops and restos in Oistins. It's only a short walk to the beach-shack (Surfer's Bay Beach Bar) if you can't face driving into town. Cafe Luna, on Enterprise Beach, is worth a visit for lunch; well prepared main courses with a good list of imported wine (if you have tired of the local beer). For dinner at Cafe Luna, you will certainly need to book. The Oistins Fish Fry came up trumps but be prepared for long waits on busy Friday nights.
We visited Hunte's Gardens during our stay: a quirky terraced-garden surrounded by palms and beautiful tropical flowers, all chosen and planted by Mr Hunte and four gardeners. The addition of classical piano which played throughout the visit certainly added to the peaceful air of this very special place.
I love Barbados on so many levels and can happily recommend Apartment Rosalie as a great base for anyone who seeks a quiet, calm holiday with uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean.
