Two of us had pasty and salad - nice but a bit short of meat. Our friends had the fish pot - a bit like a fish soup but not as liquid - they loved it and the came with a huge chunk of bread. Nice meal, but I felt it was a little overpriced for what we had.

We had dinner here last night and the food was delicious, the service was attentive and helpful, we never felt rushed and in this is such a great setting. We'd highly recommend this restaurant and will be back again when we are next in the area.

So off we go on our drive around Cornwall, down to the south coast away from that horrible weather on the north coast and hubby says shall we go and see the Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage museum (which we never got to). Anyhow the weather turned and we needed a cup of tea we looked at the restuarants in Charlestown and decided upon Wreckers. It's name is certainly apt, it wrecked our waistlines! Hubby had the special of the day, vegetables with three fillets of fish, mackerel, cod and haddock and I decided to go for the Fowey mussels, calamari and prawns. OMG, it was delcious, the mussels were so fresh. Seriously if you love shellfish and seafod, plus Italian food, then head for Wreckers, you won't be disappointed. If you can't manage a dessert then they do takeaways of Italian Canoli, rather yummy to say the least.

There was one disadvantaged the waitress who served us :-( if she smiled or engaged then that would have been lovely, the other waitresses were able to do this, but I am sure that she must have had a personality transplant - please, cheer up and put a face on you are the front of house! For that reason, you only got very good in the service category

Had lunch here on a very wet and dismal day and the welcome couldn't have been warmer. The menu is varied and there seems to be something to suit everyone. The service was friendly and efficient and our waitress knew where the local produce came from and was very informative. We couldn't manage a dessert but they looked scrumptious!

A lovely situation alongside Charlestown harbour, well appointed inside. A good choice on the menu with a typical seaside menu incorporating the fruit from the sea. This evening was outside of the holiday season and a casual entry at 6 .30 in the evening was comfortably accommodated. No doubt in high season booking would most likely be required. Staff service was very good, as was the food and wine. Good quantity at a very fair middling price. I would go back very happily.
