The hype around the Valley of the Temples did not disappoint. We attended at dusk and took amazing sunset pictures. Parking is some distance from the ruin so give yourself time to make it back to your car before it is too dark.

Few things:
- we walked everywhere and it is easily doable, though if you dont fancy walking in the heat then get one of those electric bikes.
- we also didnt get a guide and was easily manageable with a guide book
- for us the perfect timing is 1h before sunset: you stroll, you take pictures and at the very end of the park is where you get a cool spot to see the gorgeous sunset
- 2h at least to see everything properly
- also there is paying parking for you to drop your car (not expensive)
An ancient Greek and Roman colony hidden in the center of Sicily, a treasure made up of the most ancient temples in the best conditions ever. Impossible to find anything similar also in Greece. There are audio guide, English guides, it is always open, the ticket is not expensive, staff speaks English. It looks to have a nice walk back in the centuries especially during the magic of twilight.
Walk in the shadows of history at the Valle dei Templi. Truly a magical experience. Provides a wonderful history of Sicily's significance in World History and the development of modern society.
I visited here with 2 friends and had a fantastic day. It was scorching hot so, if you go on a day like that take plenty of water! It was a really interesting walk through history and I kept thinking how much my grandchildren would enjoy it. Well worth the visit and do try the granites.
We visited in January when it was quiet and there was already a carpet of spring flowers. The Valley gives you a good idea of what a Greek city was like and the visiting the temple of Concord is an unforgettable experience; well worth the visit.
