Really enjoyed our stay at Albergo Sant'Emidio. The hotel was in a great location near the Piazza Arringo. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the lovely en suite bathroom. The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was also included in the very reasonable room rate. Would definitely stay there again.

I arrived at 11:45 (the front desk closes at midnight) and the man that checked me in was the nicest about my late arrival and so helpful about my stay. The breakfast crew was also very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and the location could not have been any better. Could not recommend this hotel more!

This hotel in an old building in a small street in Ascoli Piceno is a real gem. Warm and friendly hotel staff, a nice room with everything a traveller needs, clean, modern and quiet. (Free and fast WLAN). I had a balcony in my room facing to a small garden and yard with an olive tree, this is what I expect about Italy. Breakfast was OK, not more. All in all a perfect hotel that I can warmly recommend.

What a beautiful small hotel in the most beautiful city of Ascoli Piceno. My family is from this area, and we needed a hotel that was centrally located for family visits. I discovered the hotel on Trip Advisor, and booked based on reviews. From the time I booked until the time my husband and I left we were delighted with the immediate response to questions from Andrea Taddei, the manager of the hotel. We drove from Florence, and arrived in the late afternoon. Parking is available outside the city and was a bit challenging to find, so we parked in the nearest area and walked to the hotel. We were welcomed warmly, and one of the hotel staff showed us how to bring the car to the hotel entrance to drop off our luggage. Then he kindly drove with my husband to the parking area. It is a short distance from the hotel, and the provide a 5 Euro in and out fee for the hotel. That is an excellent fee as in-out parking garages can cost as much as 20 Euros per day.

The hotel is clean and quite modern with a modern lift. As we were there during the aftershocks of the recent earthquake we were informed on questioned before our stay that the hotel was completely retrofitted and as safe as anyone can project in a natural phenomena. We did experience several strong aftershocks but being from California it was nothing we could not manage knowing all the signs of a more significant tremor.

Breakfast is included in the price, and it was well prepared and well stocked with traditional Italian breakfast choices from fruits to eggs and meats to pastries. The front desk staff is extremely helpful with recommendations and directions. The housekeeping staff keeps the rooms and the entire property to perfection.

The hotel is in an excellent location to take advantage of all the major sights of the city and also the surrounding countryside. Le Marche and Abruzzo are quite beautiful and should be seen from town to town. Also Ascoli is just a short drive to San Benedetto del Tronto - a wonderful, seaside town - much less impacted by the overwhelming tourist influx on the Amalfi coast. You'll find more of a real Italian style seaside experience here than you will in places like Sorrento.

Albergo Sant' Emidio is a hotel we will definitely return to when we stay in the area. The entire experience was 5 star at an excellent value. You will not be disappointed with both the kindly and professional staff, and the spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodations.

Room Tip: Our room was at the rear of the hotel and quiet.
