We spent 7 days in a very nice atmosphere with great service. Many activities around the resort: Mugello racetrack, Firenze, vineyards . Excellent restaurant with beautiful terrace inside the resort. The swimming pool was was nicely spacious and a pleasure for us and our son.

We were booked into this hotel for two nights by my son who was flying out with his family to join us in Italy but, unfortunately, could only make it for the second night. The wonderful staff, due to the circumstances, kept the room for him and only charged him for the one night that he was there despite the very late notice of plan change.

We had the first afternoon/night to ourselves and herself relaxed comfortably by the pool. The room we had was above the dining room and, in typical farm house fashion, was pretty dark with small windows. It was a very good size lounge dining area (which also had cooking facilities) and a bedroom with separate bathroom.

The only bar (where only two people can sit) is part of a not large dining room - it must be said that there is plenty of room immediately outside but that evening was quite windy and also not very warm, Those that did venture outside to eat were either forced to seek warmer attire or come inside.

We had lunch and dinner there and were not exactly overwhelmed with either meal but the wonderful staff yet again brought pleasure to it.

Breakfast is a buffet and is excellent made even more pleasurable by being able to sit outside to enjoy it with a very helpful and kind lady bustling around to get anything you required.

The second night, my son and his two grandchildren arrived quite late and the girls at Reception were again very helpful in pointing us in the right direction to get some pizza to bring back and eat on the terrace outside their rooms.

It is about 40 minutes into Florence but to me that would be the only reason for a return visit. We made a couple of visits to Borgo San Lorenzo but that alone would certainly not make a return visit a realistic event!

Room Tip: Avoid the room above the dining room as a bit noisy at times...

What splendid vistas, and grounds with lavender, roses, honeysuckle, and rosemary filling the air with fragrance and making it so visually nice. The food was so fresh and wonderful with a huge selection at every meal. The staff that went out of their way to make everything just perfect . The apartments were clean and comfortable.

My wife and I were with an artists study group and were originally supposed to start in a wonderful sounding agrotourism place near Montepulciano. We were exceedingly disappointed to learn after arriving in Florence that the venue had been changed to another area and a place described as a “Country Resort”. This was, we thought, NOT what we were looking for.
But it was.
Before even unpacking, we spent almost an hour photographing the interior of our accommodations, a renovated 16th century barn. When we all me for dinner, people were shaking their heads at the beauty of the place.
Dinners, in fact all meals, were quite good (although the menu does tend towards repetition) and by the end of our second day, the staff knew us all by name and what kind of coffee we preferred at breakfast. On our last day the artists held an outdoor show of their paintings. A large linen-covered table covered with food and featuring a silver bucket filled with ice and Prosecco was placed in the center and the owners and entire staff came out to join us and view the paintings.
Although some of our group took advantage of the proximity to Florence, my wife and I left only to go on walks through woods and fields and up into the foothills of the Apennines.
There are several swimming pools, a tennis court and a spa, which I never saw. One of our group expressed some disappointment about the quality of her massage (please).

Room Tip: Some rooms require climbing a number of steps. Some do not have AC. (Ours didn’t but it wasn’t a problem, even in unusual heat)

Stayed at the resort with a group of artists to paint en plein air in Tuscany. Every view around Monsignor Della Casa was amazingly beautiful! But even better than the views are the staff! They're all lovely people who go beyond professional to personally warm. Within a day, you're known by name (and morning coffee preferences). And the accommodations?--comfortable and meticulously groomed. Any issues? The concierge is there with a smile and quick resolution. Simply the best vacation!
