Nice staf, very helpful, nice located room with balcony, old bed, noisy, needs a lot of refurbishing, located on a busy street, just 15 minute walk from center. 10 €€ to expensive for the kind of room; great breakfast!!
Nice view!

We (couple) stayed there 1+2 nights during summer as a base for climbing/hiking. The staff was very friendly and the portier took his time to answer all my questions. As a breakfast lover I was very pleased with the selection here. We also got a small upgrade on our second stay and both room types we had were absolutely fine for what it is. Bath tub and balcony was always nice.
Most positive experience was that they have sent me a shirt and pants that I have forgotten there to Germany for no additional cost.
As we had a car, the distance to the city center wasn't an issue. If somebody travels without a car, a 15 minute walk to the old town has to be taken into consideration.
Would definitely stay again!

Having never been to Cortina d'Ampezzo, we were not sure what to expect. The bright sun on the snow capped mountains even in the middle of May was a welcome surprise to two people who have travelled the length of Italy and Sicily. And the service and friendliness of the owner and his wife (at least, I think she was) was so accommodating. We would not hesitate to stay again and we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Our room happened to face south and look toward the mountains. But the courtyard tables on that south side have the same view. Get a beer, sit and just stare at the beauty. This hotel was built in 1958 in the common Alpine/Dolomite style. When we left, we drove the Stada del Dolomiti drive to Bolzano. Recommended!!

Room Tip: Our 3rd floor room could not get the wi-if. Just go down to the common room for the free wi-fi.

If you want sleep, do not stay here. The walls are so thin, any conversations, moving in Bed, and plumbing noises sound like it's all happening right outside your door. Maybe we are just used to people being quite after 2200, but at 0300 we were being woke up by talking, screaming kids, and general noise. I know you can't help noises of kids, but the thin walls offered no help.
The staff was absolutely fantastic though. Very helpful; as nice as they come. Also, the rooms could use an update; rotary phone and no wifi in the room. Overall, the staff is the only reason we would come back.
