We had a wonderful trip to Lake Garda. We stayed for about a week and explored the area around Gardone Riviera. Bouganville was the perfect place to come back to, or just stay there and simply enjoy the gorgeous view.
In medieval times the house used to be part of an old monastery, which becomes obvious when you enter the small yard from the village center; it almost feels like being back in those times. The kitchen, in the lower floor of the house, has this same feel. It opens to the lake side with a beautiful terrasse and great view, which became our favorite place.
Kitchen and upper floor are very nicely renovated, giving it a modern look but cautiously preserving its origin. Really great.
We all loved it! - Plus you are in the middle of the old (upper) village, with butcher, bakery, restaurant etc. around the corner.
Laura was very helpful explaining everything, she was the perfect host.More
