My wife and I visited Malcesine again in January 2017 for a few days after being married there in 2008. It was a much different experience this time around, very cold and quiet with most bars and restaurants closed for the winter. Completely by chance we fell upon this amazing little jewel. From the moment we entered, we both fell in love with the rustic charm and romantic vibe. We sat at a small table whilst Motown trickled through the speakers. We were greeted by the owner, a lovely, friendly woman who helped us choose wine which was fantastic, she made us some lovely food for the table (olives, bread and cheese) and checked on us regularly to make sure everything was to our liking, she was so welcoming and warm that we returned every night of our stay, some nights were busy and others quiet but she was wonderful whatever the setting, its took a long time to write this review but we talk about the Osteria Santo Cielo all the time in conversation. We are returning to Malcesine on 19/1/18 and will definitely be returning to this quaint little establishment.......we cant wait! x
