This is a good hotel within 1 minute walking distance to the beach in Sant Andrea. The rooms are typically for a beachside hotel and functional and clean (wifi is free but works only well in teh lobby). The breakfast buffet is sufficient (the croissants are amazing) and the hotel offers a half board dinner option, which we skipped to mainly dine their bistro with a la carte options and sea view. The staff is super friendly and very helpful but the highlight is the pre-dinner cocktail reception on the hotel's terrace, where creative drinks and tapas are on offer in a very relaxed environment. So overall, Barsalini is a great destination for a relaxed beach holiday on Elba!

Wonderful stay during our honey moon for our small family. Lovely rooms and location. The rooms with sea view are awesome. We booked breakfast and dinner and especially the dinner is very delicious. We also enjoyed the always friendly and helpful staff, the close distance to the beach and the pool. Summary: Wonderful place to be. We will definitely come back!

Room tip: We had a sea view room and this one was wonderful!

Great hotel to stay for a quiet family holiday (family with two kids 4,6). Sant'Andrea is very small and quiet, has great cliff swimming and also a small (but crowded) beach. It was still not too crowded, since it is too small for that... There is great opportunity to swim with kids, with a section of the beach closed of by a stone pier with shallow water on the inside and deeper on the outside for the grown ups.
Barsalini offer us an apartment 200 m from the hotel with 2 bedrooms a small kitchen and a sitting room - very nice! The best things was the big veranda with an amazing sea view! We still has breakfast at the hotel and used all the facilities, the best of two worlds (hotel vs holiday rental).
We would definitely go back.

We spent our summer holiday in this hotel upon a recommendation from our friends as ideal for families with kids, which I can confirm that was true. Hotel is set on the hill but in its very down part in a small village Sant Andreas and is really close to the beach (30 metres). Hotel is nice but not luxury, there is a small pool and garden with bar where every evening before dinner we had aperitifs with really delicious Italian snacks. We stayed in a family room with really nice views on the sea. The hotel is run by a very nice family so the atmosphere was really very friendly. As regards the food, the dinners were fine but we were not very happy about the breakfast because there was lot of extremely sweet pastry and lack of good quality cereals or yogurts. The other week point was the wifi which was quite slow and every ten minutes asked for a password...
The beach is cute and not very big and is organized with umbrellas (the price was quite high for one set). The sea was in general beautiful and crystal clear. The only negative point about the beach was that after the noon it started to be very crowded and the sea on the shore was then quite muddy (after 20 metres it was again crystal clear). But we were there in high season (end of July/beginning of August) so I think it is better to go there earlier in July. There were two beach restaurants and we definitely preferred the one which was next to the playground and about 5 metres from our umbrella so it was really comfortable. The great thing was the motor boat which we rented directly at the beach for the whole afternoon and we practically saw half of the island Elba. To sum up, Elba is beautiful island worth to visit and we are very happy that we´ve finally been there. We liked our holidays in hotel Barsalini but I am not sure if we come back. We will probably try Sardinia next year.

Room tip: Family room Il Mare (I think that it was No. 14) with sea view

Very nice hotel in a fantastic place of north west side of Elba island.
I found it much confortable with nice room although some difficulty you could find for parking your car, but hotel offers to small areas for parking, most of the times are occupied by others.
St.Andrea is very nice for an unforgettable holiday.
