Really disappointed on the customer service of Lo Scoglio. To avoid since even the usage of the WC in this place seems that it is necessary to pay.

Thank Aleksandr S

The setting is spectacular. The food is fresh and excellent. The service is phenomenal. Antonia - is a great host and she speaks perfect English. She happily takes your order and then hands it over to competent staff. This is a MUST visit if you are in the area. It is actually easier to arrive by boat than car. Rent a boat for the day and enjoy a very special lunch.

We had dinner the evening of the lunar, red moon. eclipse. The venue has a board walk with tables that overlooks the small port. The food portions were small and expensive to similar restaurants in the same town. We sat down early at 7pm and the waiters gave the impression they were dragging the feet to brings the menus, the drinks and the food. I would suggest driving other small towns to look for better quality restaurants, such as Il Pirata which is on an amazing rock cliff ledge west of Praiano.

On a separate note, avoid Positano restaurants, they are packed with tourists, over priced and leave a lot to be desired in terms of fresh quality food.

I love the Italian kitchen, but what was served here, had such a lack of love and passion... The service was unpleasant and rude. And there were a lot of running and screaming children, mixed with loud and bad music.

Well, well, well,... We asked our concierge to book a restaurant with both an excellent view and food. Two other locals had told us this was an excellent restaurant.
We had a 7:30p reservation and arrived 7:15p. When we entered, the staff was dining at the long table. After standing there for a seemingly very long interval staring at one another,a server came over with napkin in hand and a full mouth of food as a bonus, asking if we had a reservation. We acknowledged such and were seated at a very nice table with a lovely view.
After at least twenty minutes with not so much as an offering of water, we began to wonder if food service did not begin until a later time, but then, why would they take a 7:30 reservation?
Eventually, a server appeared asking “Are you ready to order?”. There was no greeting-nothing. We ordered water, a nice bottle of wine, and an appetizer. We stated we would look further at the menu and he walked away without acknowledgement.
Another server arrived several minutes later, and when I had questions about the offerings, I was given terse, minimalist replies. For example, when asked about preparation of a particular lobster dish, the reply: “Its lobster in tomato sauce.”
I had to drag every description from him and finally gave up.
The food arrived in a timely fashion. The shrimp, salad, and branzino were very good, not amazing, but fresh, simple and really, no complaints.
Before we completed our entrees, we were asked if we were finished with our meal. We had to request a dessert/ coffee menu. We got the impression of being rushed through the remainder of the meal.
That’s about the time a tender bearing six passengers from a nearby yacht arrived. Two servers ran(literally) to the dock to assist the group who were subsequently seated next to us.
The same server who had barely acknowledged our existence began assailing them with the history of the restaurant, the sourcing of ingredients (his uncle grows the food) and minutiae on preparation of dishes. They were presented with three fish on a platter from which to choose. They were also given a choice of live lobster swimming in what we thought was a nearby fountain. They took photos of one of the guests with a lobster. What a show it was! But wait! I too came for lobster!
In summary: Great view, good food, and abysmal service to a “commoner”.
Please note : Whether one arrives via yacht, luxury vehicle, foot or donkey, the level of service should be no different, one from the other.
I understand “The Boss”( Bruce Springsteen) just dined there. He has always been a champion of all people- working class and otherwise. What would Mr Springsteen think? He might no longer consider you a “favorite” restaurant .
Shame on you.
