We stayed here for a week and wished we had been able to move this hotel to our second week's location. What a wonderful place. It is family owned and everyone there treated us so well. The speak English and the restaurant was excellent. The view from the terrace while eating dinner is really lovely. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are modern. Most of the rooms have a balcony or private terrace. Our room did not have a view but the patio was very nice and quiet. It is just outside of Sorrento and it is easy to take the local bus to the town or to the train station. The ferries to the Island of Ischia and Capri leave from Sorrento and there are trains to Naples and Pompeii. Positano is a 45 minute local bus ride so it is a just a great location. Very clean and the restaurant is very popular with the local families.

Room tip: We had room 115 and it was on the same level at the terrace restaurant but we never heard anything. It was really nice.

If you are looking for a quite place to stay for your holiday in the Sorrento coast, this family run hotel is for you. It's in the breath-taking Massa Lubrense only ten minutes away from the caotic Sorrento. It offers a fantastic local cuisine with ingredients grown in their garden, just around the corner.

To date the most brilliant and charming experience we've had in a hotel. The view from our room/terrace was absolutely amazing and with impeccable cleaning - best we've ever come across. Pets accepted😌The restaurant is very good and by far the best we've tried through 5 visits to the coast. You could not ask for a friendlier staff - we allready look forward to visit this hotel again. Free parking with space and a small fridge in the room.

We stayed here as part of a tour. It was by far the cleanest of all the places we stayed in on the whole tour, even the more expensive 4 star hotels. There is a huge window from the bar into the kitchen, and the kitchen was just as spotless. The staff are friendly and helpful - it's a family run business, so they know service counts.
The rooms vary in size and views, and many have private terraces. Ours was large, with a terrace, but limited view. The bed was comfy (for Italy where beds are harder than we're used to). The air con worked well (once we realised it would only work if the patio door was closed - a great energy saving feature!).
Free wifi in the room was generally very good, although sometimes a little slow at periods of high demand - we found opening the door to get line of sight to the wifi booster helped.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, much better than the menu outside suggests, and there was a good variety for breakfast.
It is a 3 star hotel, but this is a reflection of the faclities NOT the quality. There is no elevator but the staff will take your luggage to/from your room. The public areas (bar/reception) seemed a little hot at times, but not bad enough to complain.
Massa Lubrense is definitely not as touristy as Sorrento or Amalfi Coast, but it was nice to be somewhere more real. If you don't have a car, there is a regular bus into Sorrento (takes 10 to 15 mins depending on tthe traffic), and ferries/buses/trains from there.
Would highly recommend the hotel, with the understanding that it lacks the famcy features given with a higher number of stars.
