We spend 3 wonderful nights here and loved every minute of it. The views from our bedroom and living space was of the rolling hills and the stunning landscaped area. The host Luca, who spoke very little English-but enough to help us. We arrived at the train station on the opposite side of Montepulicano from his villa, on a Sunday evening-when there is no bus service! We were basically stranded. He came and picked us up:)) What an absolute life saver he was, as it was a 20 minute ride to get us. Still not sure where we got off the train at:( But we were so thankful he responded to our cry for help. He showed us our room, how everything worked, where the bikes were, the pool, how the washer/dryer worked, gave us wine -the best bottle we ever had!! We felt he bent over backwards for us, and we so appreciated it. We could walk to a small section of town for restaurants, coffee, breakfast, etc. The bus stop was a very short walk to the other side of the property, so getting around was not hard. One night we were walking back to the property, and he saw us, so he stopped to give us a ride. Super sweet and caring couple. The grounds are very well maintained with beauty plants, blooming flowers, lavender bushes surrounding the back, olive trees, and views to die for. One morning we woke up looked out of the window and we were above the clouds-AMAZING:))
The kitchen was equipped with everything needed, coffee included. The bed was extremely comfortable, shower had plenty of hot water, clean towels. We had not one complaint. The day of check out the office was closed, but Luca had told us that the day before, and he also said to check out whenever we were ready- no time rush- Fabulous!! Perfect spot for relaxing but also not so far from getting around as we traveling by train and bus.
We will definitely be back. Also, we purchased Olive Oil from him, and it is the best. Has aroma and flavor!!

Room Tip: Our room was a 1 bedroom upstairs-the views were the best.

I spent a long time researching a good location in Montepulciano and the Frateria Di San Benedetto was the best I could find. We were a party of three and had a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms.
When you arrive here, the office is the first drive and then you go around to the actual apartments (which are the second drive). Our hosts speak a little English and a little French so we were ok and give us some jams and a bottle of wine as a welcome.
The grounds of the Frateria Di San Benedetto are spectacular and we dinned out every night over looking the valley across from Montepulciano.
It was a good location to travel around the area and the only thing to be aware of is the coming out of the drive way you come onto a relatively busy road but we had no problems getting in and out.
The pool is very well kept and you can swim whenever you want.
Would definitely come back and stay here - we loved Montepulciano and staying at Frateria Di San Benedetto made the whole experience fabulous.

We wanted to visit Tuscany and get a taste of the local flavours. This place proved to be the perfect choice. The accomodation is situated in a nice orchard full of olive trees, lavander and hortensia. The views of the Tuscan hills are awsome and the staff is very welcoming. It is great to relax by the pool after a day of visiting Montepulciano.

The hotel does not offer restaurant facilities but you can cook inside because you have every cutlery and crockery necessary. Alternatively, the place is full of wineries and family-run restaurants to enjoy Tuscan food.

Loved our stay here. The family speak limited English but got by with a bit of French added in the mix We stayed in a lovely self contained unit in the lower part of the garden amongst the olive trees which had all we needed and heaps of space and light. Complimentary wine and jam was also delivered to our door. The wifi is a bit slow sometimes but a minor issue when you consider everything else. Loved Montepulciano compared to other places in Tuscany as it was less touristy.
