What a spot! beautiful views of the landscape and the pools. Having gone early in the season, I think the sea and the pools have not had enough sun on them to warm them up to get in consistently. The resort itself is pristine and clean. We had a sea view room which was a treat for the senses. I thought the bathroom was very good too with plenty of toiletries and in a stylish Italian design.
Service from the staff was exceptional, so helpful and very professional and respectful. The food is really good too, dinner being quite formal and formed part of the corner stone of our trip for us.
My only negative to say is that drinks and the spa treatments are expensive and with a facial starting at 80 Euros. I had a few bottles of sparkling water which cost 5 Euros but in the shops are 59 cents each! That's quite some mark up! Other than that, I have no complaints and staying here has added precious memories.

Unbelievable views of the pools, beautiful grounds and coast from this lovely resort.
From arrival at the Hotel we were treated so well by the staff and nothing was too much trouble. We were given a lovely airy room with good views out from the balcony.
All food and the waiters and waitresses who served us were wonderful, our special thanks to Marco and Veronica for the bar and all of the staff in the restaurant.
Thank you Colonna resort we had a fabulous week with you.

Beautiful hotel and pools. Breakfast was good but not 5 star. Filming for a Gillette advert was taking up about a third of the pool area, quite exciting, but it would have been nice to have been informed of the disruption. Management actually walked by our loungers chatting to the crew, on the way back I would have expected an explanation/ apology/ free drink. They didn't even acknowledged our existence. If an hotel gets 5 stars because it has a spa, I don't expect to pay an extra €30 a day each to use it. When checking out in a hotel in Malformations only a three+ star hotel we are always offered a key to a room with a shower and a place to leave luggage until actually leaving the site. When we asked here for a room to get changed in it sent them into complete panic. Some very nice people working there, the bar staff were excellent and the concierge was good.

We are pleased to learn that you have enjoyed many aspects of our Resort as :

- Beautiful hotel and pools.
- Breakfast was good
- Some very nice people working there
- the bar staff were excellent
- the concierge was good

While we are sorry to read that you don’t consider our hotel 5 stars, expecially because, in particularly for the event that was made a morning in a well-defined area of the pool.
I'm sorry that You waited for our excuses, that if we knew of your displeasure, we would certainly have done very carefully, as we always make in these rare cases.
But just because it was just an little area affected by the event that we were sure they didn't bother you, indeed it seemed to us that You were very attracted to this event as You wrote "quite exciting" and however the lifeguards and the bar have assisted you, as They always do, even in that morning.

However, We highly appreciate the comments and suggestions of our Guests and we assure You, that all your assessments has already been taken into consideration and we are always evaluating every possibility to prevent that others will having the feeling you've had.

I was here 5 days on business with a large group, and felt like I was treated like a second rate citizen the entire stay.

The actual hotel staff at the front desk etc were perfectly fine, very professional.

The restaurant food is absolutely awful, sometimes inedible.
Beef-Porto consommé tasted like very salty warm wine, made with a stock cube.
Lasagna tasted prefrozen packet lasagna.
Tuna steak, ordered rare, was cooked to an inch of its life - and gray in colour.

Also, there are signs everywhere warning you not to wear sandals to dinner etc (?!)
One of our female colleagues wore a simple singlet type top to lunch, on a 30•c day, and was asked to cover her shoulders.
This isn't a church, OR a Michelin star restaurant!!
At dinner on the last day of our stay, we (discreetly) said goodbye to a few colleagues as they left for their flight on their way out of the restaurant.
We were asked to leave because we were disturbing the fellow guests?!
So rude, and classist.

Lastly, when asking for the bill, waiters throw pens down at table and leave without telling you what to sign?!
(Also, they adopt a very weird, unclassy system of waiters writing your order on tickets that they leave on your table - like a cheap diner-cafe?!)

The whole restaurant, from the food to the waiters to the service to the decor is dated, stiff and unwelcoming.

Lastly - THE BEDS!?
Super uncomfortable cheap single beds pushed together to make a double bed
Pillows flat like pancakes
Bedding cheap and synthetic.

I am glad it was my client paying for this stay and not me, because never in my life would I pay to stay at this hotel - or their chain of hotels, ever again!!!

as General Manager of Colonna Resort, I can take this opportunity to say thank you for your stay in our hotel.

I'm sorry that you have expressed such a negative opinion about our hotel, also because the organizers of the event you attended have greatly praised our services, making a lot of compliments for the hotel, staff, kitchen, restaurant and all the services in general, told us that they would recommend our hotel to everyone and that all the participants were very happy about their stay with us.
Unfortunately, we already know that it may happen, as in your case, even if you kindly ask to adhere to the dress code for dinner, when some Guest, as in your case, doesn't want to respect the dress code, we often run the risk that It begins to criticize all hotel services, even those that all other customers often and normally praise, as can be read in previous reviews.
If it happens, as in your case, that you have stopped at the entrance of the restaurant, not allowing other guests to enter (but I don't mean that you have made of purpose), unfortunately, always with courtesy, education and kindness, we ask you to leave the possibility for other Guests to enter in the restaurant.
If this happens, we know that sometimes this fact can also bring us unjustified complaints, but unfortunately we have to do it anyway, because we must also protect other guests.
But you didn't tell, that maybe your complaints are also due to other things that we have asked you not to do, such as taking the seat from other busy tables, Speak loudly in restaurant, disturbing other guests, or other things yet.
We always try to Satisfy everyone, but also to protect them all, this is the only way to ensure a pleasant stay at all, unfortunately running the risk that to protect the permanence of our customers, Maybe we dislike you, with your behaviors, but We do it anyway and we will continue to do so.

I hope that those who read, will know how to judge your words rightfully, but also my own and will understand. . . . ... ..

Just spent a short break in Colonna Resort and its just an amazing hotel with incredible staff. Marco the bar manager was incredible alongside Luisa.
Although just at the start of the season every single member of staff could not be more helpful and attentive. The resort itself is incredible, views amazing and incredibly well kept.
The resort is a little way away from the main port but that means its a haven for peace and quiet.
Would recommend a car if you travel hear although the food at the hotel is brilliant and as stated previously staff could not do enough.
Look forward to returning very soon
